Experimental Monday Fables

Alright so I've been trying to figure out what the hell to do with this blog and I've at least gotten a start. Every monday starting on October 1st, I'll be posting a short story (length depending on the amount of inspiration I aquire - though I guarantee it will be pretty short) based on 14 songs taken from my iTunes list on shuffle.

We'll start with Monday's and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

1. Falling - Marina V
2. Something to Talk About - Bonnie Raitt
3. Rewrite the Ending (Instrumental) - Robert Duncan
4. One Kiss - Sweetbox
5. If You Could Only Know (Poem) - Emilie Autumn
6. Bi Ann - Kila
7. Father - Marina V
8. Karma - Alicia Keys
9. Breathless - Corinne Bailey Rae
10. Like a River - Karla Anderson
11. Endless Night - Lion King
12. Best Safety Lies In Fear - Emilie Autumn
13. Summer Wind - Michael Buble
14. Big, Bad, Handsome Man - Imelda May

About Me

Greetings Earthlings this is your Captain speaking. This is my first time trying to do anything like this. Well that's a lie. I am constantly trying to do something like a blog but never an actual blog. Let's see if this works. I have no idea what I'm going to talk about but I'll give it a try. Let's see...about me...

I'm a second year Greek and Roman Studies major (in most places it's just called 'Classics') so I study Greeky history, culture, mythology and language in hope of doing SOMETHING in the future related to history and language. I've always loved writing but lately I've had problems getting motivated enough to do anything let alone write so I figure having a project, some goal to work towards, will help kick start that. Since joining twitter last year I've found myself getting more involved in books and gaining an interest in publishing and seriously considering writing as a career instead of just as a hobby. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. As a reader, I'm a lover of romance and fantasy. As a writer I love murder and romance (if I can get them together it's even better). Basically I love love but I love even more when it's a real romance with unhappy endings and twisted beginnings.

I grew up loving Fairytales (the Disney versions at least) and as I got older I grew into the Brother's Grimm and Hans Christien Anderson and I've gained an appreciation and fascination with the gruesome, fantastical stories that once scared children to sleep.

I'm also severely ADHD and Dyslexic but it's one of those things that doesn't really affect your life unless you say it does so I don't find it comes into my life (unless I'm writing while I'm distracted in which case you'd better watch out).

I also run a fan site for one of my favourite book series 'Between' by Cyndi Tefft. You can find that here:

Well I think that's all there is to say about me now as oppossed to who I was in the past. I'll see what kind of patterns I can make with my blog posts so I guarantee nothing now.

Th-th-th-th-that's all folks!
